Why Tidbits of Happy?

I’ve never believed that happiness is all-consuming.  Happiness is simple pleasures and daily adventures.  Tidbits.  Morsels.  The small things that add up.

Who is Trina?

I’m a thirty-something mom to a three (almost four)-year-old munchkin who is the absolute joy of my life.  I am wife to my husband, who is a wonderful father with a stress-filled career akin to herding cats.  I am an attorney, working for a government agency.  I don’t see the courtroom, or the public, which means no suits – yay!  I basically research and write.  It’s not as boring as it sounds – it’s very interesting!  Really, for reals!

I enjoy cooking … correct that … I love cooking and sharing recipes.  I am very interested in preserving my family’s food traditions.  Also, feeding my family healthy and delicious meals makes me happier than just about anything.

About This Blog

Recently, we decided that we need to improve our eating habits.  We don’t eat poorly, but we’re hovering on the line of too many processed and convenience products.  I’m really working on revamping my kitchen, menu planning, and cooking so that we rely less on processed foods and turn more to real food.

Another thing that I’m working toward is a bit more organization throughout the household.  I certainly don’t think that I’m going to turn into super-mom or anything like that, but I’m really searching for ways to make the week flow more smoothly and be less hectic.

Through this blog, I’m going to share my recipes and recipes I’ve found elsewhere.  I’m also hoping to eventually share what I’ve learned works for me in the area of organization and less hectic-ness.

My hope is that some little bit of what I post is helpful to someone other than myself at some point!  Take care, and thanks for visiting!
