Pan-Seared Salmon

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons canola oil
  • 4 6-ounce salmon filets
  • salt & pepper for seasoning
  • lemon wedges for serving

Directions

Heat a heavy skillet over medium heat for a minute or so.  Add the oil.  Salt and pepper the salmon on both sides.  When the skillet is hot, add the fish and raise the heat to medium-high.

Turn the salmon after 4 minutes.  Cook for another 2-5 minutes to reach your preferred doneness.  Serve with the browned side up and lemon wedges on the side.
